MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University dropped a 7-2 decision to region-rival Catawba in men's tennis action on Monday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center. Catawba improves to 6-2 on the year while the Falcons fall to 2-4.

Pfeiffer trailed 2-1 after doubles play with Ethan Lyon and Diego Oliveira picked up the point with an 8-3 victory at three doubles. In singles, Luis Villalta was the only one to score an individual victory with a 6-4, 6-7 (2-7), 11-9 three-set win.

Up next for the Falcons will be a Wednesday afternoon matchup with visiting Shaw at 2:00 p.m.
