COLUMBUS , GA - The Pfeiffer women's volleyball team (0-7) dropped its final two matches in the Columbus St. Tournament on Saturday. In the opener, Pfeiffer was defeated by Brevard (5-1), while the tournament host Columbus St. (3-4) took the finale.
In the first match of the morning, Brevard took a 3-0 decision over the Falcons. Junior Kelsey Blauser led the Falcons with six kills and a .333 hitting percentage, while Andrea Lopez paced the defense with 12 digs. Emily Wall recorded 16 assists and seven digs and Shelby Young finished with three kills, six digs and four service aces.
Directly following that match, Pfeiffer took on Columbus St. and fell by the same 3-0 final. Columbus St. held a 39-22 advantage in kills and a 50-39 lead in digs. Lancellot led the offense with six kills and freshman Shenelle Charlot led the team with 10 digs. McKenzie McDonald and Blauser each recorded three assisted blocks in the match.
The Falcons return to action on Tuesday night when they open Conference Carolinas play against Lees-McRae at 7 p.m.
