WILSON, NC- The Pfeiffer softball team (16-13) had a big conference sweep of Barton (6-16, 0-8 CC) on Sunday afternoon. The first game was a tightly contested 11 inning game.
Sam Jarmusch went all 11 inning striking out five and only giving up two runs in a 3-2 Falcon victory. In the second game Pfeiffer benefitted from a seven run second inning en route to a 10-0 run rule of the Bulldogs.

Jaclyn Boever tied the game up with an RBI single through the left side scoring Sadie Sane from second base in the top of the sixth inning. The game would remain tied until the top of the 10th inning, when the
Corinne Auger scored on a wild pitch to give the Falcons a 2-1 lead. Barton would tie the game back up in the bottom of the frame. In the top of the 11th Saine hit a RBI sacrifice fly to center field that scored
Rebecca Foil. Jarmusch would slam the door on the Bulldogs stranding the tying run on third base.
Barton's starting pitcher Liz White pitched all 11 innings only giving up one earned run while striking out 13 batters.
The bats came alive in game two as Pfeiffer scored 10 runs on 13 hits. The Falcons started the scoring in the second inning when
Khristin Isley hit an RBI double to center field. Isley later scored on a two RBI double by Saine down the right field line.
Julie Bullington(4) capped off the seven run second with a three run homer down the left field line. The Falcons added another run in the third when
Jessica Jackson singled to center scoring Isley from second base.
Sydney Poole won her seventh game of the season pitching 4.0 innings giving up two hits and not surrendering a run for Pfeiffer.
Pfeiffer returns home on Tuesday for a double header with Shaw. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
