Falcon Men Defeat Catawba On Frigid Day, 6-3

SALISBURY, NC –  The Pfeiffer Men's Tennis team (3-0)traveled north on route 52 to face non-conference opponent, the Catawba Indians (4-4) on a cold and frigid day at the Johnson Tennis Center.  Pfeiffer defeated the Indians 6-3 as reigning Conference Carolinas Player of the Week Nils Hoffacker defeated the Indians Jack Mordey (6-3, 6-2) in the first position.

The Falcons took the next three positions as Oscar Van Kock defeated Lucas Miller (6-1, 7-6). Axel Woerner defeated Lucas Picca(6-4, 6-2) in the third position and Thomas Hubble defeated Michael Patch (7-6,7-5). In the sixth position Anthony Brennan defeated Iago Montero Nunez (6-2, 6-2).

In doubles, the Falcon's took one of the three matches where in the third position Woerner and Brennan defeated Nunez and Miller, 8-3.

The Falcons return to action Saturday, February 13 as they travel to Belmont Abbey to face the Crusaders at 2 p.m.
