MISENHEIMER, N.C. -On Wednesday night, Pfeiffer (3-19) seniors Katie Anne Wilson and Erin Errington led the volleyball team past the Salem Spirits (20-10), 3-1. Wilson had a team-high 22 assists which gives her 1,093 for her career, just 26 shy of fourth place all-time. Errington led the team offensively with a career-high 16 kills and a career-best .312 hitting percentage.

On the night, Pfeiffer was able to outhit Salem 56 kills to 21 and a hitting percentage of .239 to .125.

In set one, with Pfeiffer up 15-12, the Falcons were able to pull away from the Spirits as they picked up five consecutive points notably from Errington's two kills and  Emma Gray Beacham's consecutive service aces.  Later in the set, an attack error by Madelyn Chappell of Salem sealed the Falcons 25-18 win.

With a set two loss, Pfeiffer came out in the third set and took an early 10-2 lead over Salem. In that rally, Sam Smith (2) and Errington (3) had multiple kills and Beacham added another ace. Bri Weber was able to finish off the set with consecutive kills in the 25-16 victory.

Set three saw the Falcons trail by a score of 18-13. However, the Falcons mounted a huge comeback that saw Pfeiffer win 11 out of 12 points. Kaylee Freed had three kills and Weber added two more to kills in the run. Wilson sealed the set and match with her 79th career ace to move her into 10th all-time.

The Falcons defense came up big on the night as three players had double-figure digs; Abby Kaufhold (15), Errington (12) and Beacham (10).

Other notables for Pfeiffer saw Weber get 13 kills on the night which marks the first time this season she has reached double-digits. Along with Wilson's 22 assists, Kaufhold earned her first career 20 assist night.

Pfeiffer looks to continue the momentum this Friday as they travel to Danville, Virginia for a tri-match with the host school Averett Cougars and the N.C. Wesleyan Battling Bishops.
