st minute and held off Pfeiffer University in a USA South women's soccer match at Lefko Field on Wednesday evening.

The Spirits notched the only goal of the match at 20:05 when Alyson Gammons took a pass from Caeden Gaud and slipped it past Falcon goalkeeper

Pfeiffer had a great chance to tie the match in the second half when the ball became loose in front of the Spirit goal, but Pfeiffer's
Janet Tapia (Conover, N.C.) could not capitalize on the opportunity, sending the shot left of the goal.
Pfeiffer held an 8-6 shot advantage over the Spirits and both teams had three corner kick opportunities in the match.
