Salisbury University Takes Down Pfeiffer Women, 73-52
Washington, D.C. - (Dec. 21, 2021) – Salisbury University used a big first quarter to down Pfeiffer University in a nonconference women's basketball game at the Jamie L. Roberts Classic hosted by Catholic University on Tuesday afternoon.
Salisbury (10-2) was quick to build a 17-5 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Seagulls limited Pfeiffer to just 2-of-19 shooting (10.5%) in the first quarter. Conversely, Salisbury shot a sizzling 7-of-11 (63.6%) from the field in the opening stanza.
Salisbury continued their hot shooting in the second quarter, boosting their lead to 45-16 at halftime.
Pfeiffer outscored Salisbury in the second half, but it was not enough, as the Falcons dropped the eventual 73-52 decision.
The Falcons drop to 4-7 overall while Salisbury improves to 10-2.

Kenadie Hudler (Jefferson, N.C.) and graduate student
Shalonda Wilkins (Chesterfield, Va.) each had a team-best nine points. Hudler hit three from long range while Wilkins had a pair of three-pointers.
Junior
Angel Roland (Monroe, N.C.) had six rebounds to lead the Falcons.
For her efforts, Wilkins was named to the All-Classic team.
Pfeiffer will now take a break for the Christmas holiday but will return to play on Dec. 30 with a home date against ODAC foe Bridgewater. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Merner Gym.
