Box Score Falcons Hit Three Home Runs in 12-5 Win Over Methodist
Misenheimer, N.C. (March 7, 2021) – The Pfeiffer Falcons baseball team hit three home runs en route to a 12-5 nonconference win over Methodist University at Joe Ferebee Field on Saturday.

Game 1
After spotting visiting Methodist University an early 5-0 lead, Pfeiffer erupted for four runs in the fourth inning and six in the fifth to push ahead 10-5.
In the fourth, Kyler Fairchild (Taylorsville, N.C.) and Austin Morton (Jacksonville, Fla.) delivered RBI, with Fairchild singling through the right side of the MU infield and Morton hitting a sacrifice fly.
Bryan Kowalski (Kernersville, N.C.) would then blast a two-run homer to left field, giving Pfeiffer the 5-4 lead.
In the fifth inning, Pfeiffer used a pair of three-run blasts to blow the game open, the first of which would come off the bat of junior Bryce Marsh (Asheboro, N.C.), and the latter from Morton.
Pfeiffer would add another run in the sixth on a Methodist throwing error, boosting the Falcon lead to 11-5. The final run of the game came in the eighth inning when Blake Winebarger (Yadkinville, N.C.) hit an RBI single, providing the eventual 12-5 final.
Freshman pitcher Thad Lewis (Greenville, N.C.) earned the win after pitching five innings in relief, allowing just one hit while striking out six batters.
Both Marsh and Morton finished the game going 2-of-4, with Morton driving in four RBI and Marsh delivering three.
