Pfeiffer Volleyball Wins A Pair of 3-2 Thriller's at Averett
Danville, Va. (Sept. 24, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University volleyball team continued their hot streak as they took a pair of 3-2 USA South wins on Friday night, downing Methodist and host Averett.

Three players had double-digit kills as Pfeiffer stormed back from a 2-0 deficit to take the 3-2 USA South win over the Monarchs.
Juniors
Mattie Burris (Misenheimer, N.C.) and
Reagan Wyatt (Stoneville, N.C.) each had 16 kills in the match while sophomore
Morgan Shrader (Matthews, N.C.) had 13.
Burris and Wyatt were a force defensively, as Wyatt had six block assists to go along wth Burris' three block assists and one solo block.
Kylee Mayberry (Harmony, N.C.) and
Kira Suttles (Morganton, N.C.) each had great nights at the net, as Mayberry finished with 31 assists and Suttles had 29 helpers.
Emma Gray Beacham (Laurinburg, N.C.) lead the Falcons with a team-best 30 digs.
Pfeiffer vs. Averett
In the 3-2 win over Averett,
Mattie Hinson (Norwood, N.C.) led the way with 12 kills while Shrader had 11./ Mayberry would finish with 30 assists. Wyatt would return one solo block and five block assists while
Summer Matthews (Durham, N.C.) had six block assists.
Once again, Beacham led the way with 25 digs while Shrader added 21 in the win over the Cougars
