Pfeiffer Volleyball Gets Back on the Winning Track With 3-1 Win at Bob Jones

Greenville, S.C. (Sept. 29, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University volleyball team rebounded from losing the first set and won 3-1 over Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. on Thursday night.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
The Bruins took the first set by a 25-20 score, but Pfeiffer roared back in winning three straight sets to take the 3-1 win.

Junior Madison Honeycutt (Arroyo Grande, Cal.) and freshman Anya Parker (Fort Mill, S.C.) each had 11 kills in the win.  Parker hit for a robust .476 percentage while Honeycutt posted a .276 percentage.

Freshman setter Kylee Mayberry (Harmony, N.C.) had 19 assists and a team-best four aces in the win.

Defensively, Mattie Burris (Misenheimer, N.C.) had two block assists and two solo blocks while Morgan Shrader (Matthews, N.C.) and libero Emma Gray Beacham (Laurinburg, N.C.) finished with 20 and 18 digs, respectively.

The Falcons will step back into USA South play this upcoming weekend when they travel to Greensboro to take part in a league tri-match.  Pfeiffer will take on Meredith College at 2:00 p.m. and will play host Greensboro at approximately 4:00 p.m.
