Pfeiffer Volleyball Splits a Pair of Home Matches
Winston-Salem, N.C. (Oct. 10, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University volleyball traveled to Winston-Salem, N.C. to participate in a USA South tri-match, falling to Meredith College 3-2 and to host Salem College by a 3-1 score.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE – Pfeiffer vs. Meredith
In the first match of the day, Pfeiffer rallied from being down 2-0 to tie the match with wins in set's three and four. Meredith then fought back from a four point deficit in the final set to take the 16-14 win.
Freshman
Madison Tate (Lexington, N.C.) had a career-high 17 kills and also added five blocks in the loss while senior
Madison Honeycutt (Arroyo Grande, Cal.) had 11 kills and seven digs.
Senior
Kira Suttles (Morganton, N.C.) had a team-high 22 assists while sophomore
Kylee Mayberry (Harmony, N.C.) had 20.

Against the host Spirits, Pfeiffer took the first set by a 25-20 score but Salem won the next three sets for the 3-1 win.
Honeycutt had a team-high 14 kills while freshman
Haedyn McGrath (Buford, Ga.) managed eight kills for the Falcons.
Defensively,
Faith Miller (Clover, S.C.) and
Mattie Burris (Misenheimer, N.C.) each had five blocks in the match while freshman
Gabby Edwards (Catawba, N.C.) had 16 digs.

Pfeiffer will return to Merner Gym on Wednesday, Oct. 12 for a midweek USA South match with Brevard College in the annual Dig Pink match. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
