Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 26, 2022) – Pfeiffer University had three players put up double-digit offensive numbers in Pfeiffer's 3-1 volleyball setback to USA South opponent Methodist University on Wednesday night in Merner Gym.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
The Falcons were led by senior Madison Honeycutt (Arroyo Grande, Cal.) as she had 12 kills to go along with 14 digs and three aces.  Mattie Hinson (Norwood, N.C.) and Mattie Burris (Misenheimer, N.C.) each completed the match with 10 kills, as Burris had a team-best .438 hitting percentage.

Hinson and Burris also had one solo block each while Burris also added one assisted block.  The freshman duo of Faith Miller (Clover, S.C.) and Madison Tate (Lexington, N.C.) contribute three block assists each.  Tate would also have six kills while Miller added five.  Another freshman, Gabby Edwards (Catawba, N.C.) racked up a team-high 17 digs.

Sophomore setter Kylee Mayberry (Harmony, N.C.) dished out 27 assists while senior teammate Kira Suttles (Morganton, N.C.) had 19.


Up Next
Pfeiffer will close the regular season by hosting a USA South tri-match on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Merner Gym.  Play starts at Noon with Pfeiffer taking on Meredith College.  The Avenging Angels will then play Salem College at 2:00 p.m. before the Falcons close the day with a 4:00 p.m. match with the Spirits.
