Pfeiffer Men's Soccer Comes Up Short at William Peace
Cary, N.C. (Oct. 5, 2022) – William Peace University used three first half goals en route to a 3-0 USA South men's soccer win over Pfeiffer University on Wednesday afternoon at the WakeMed Soccer Complex in Cary, N.C.

How It Happened
The homestanding Pacers got on the board quickly, as Josh Rutland scored his third goal of the season on assists from Drew Frazier and Danny Alvarez in the sixth minute.
Rutland scored his second of the match on an unassisted goal at 15:00 to put the Pacers up 2-0. Less than a minute later, Jorge Lemus scored his sixth goal of the year with an assist from Jorge Aguilar to put WPU up 3-0.
WPU held Pfeiffer to nine shots, five of which were on goal, while the Pacers had six shots on goal and 13 total shots on the afternoon. Falcon senior

Caleb Livengood (Thomasville, N.C.) each had a pair of shots to lead Pfeiffer's offense.
