Southern Virginia Downs Pfeiffer 3-1 in USA South Volleyball Tournament

Misenheimer, N.C. (Nov. 1, 2022) – Top-seeded Southern Virginia University downed visiting Pfeiffer University 3-1 in the first round of the USA South Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday night.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
Pfeiffer senior Madison Honeycutt (Arroyo Grande, Cal.) came away with a team-best eight kills while senior teammate Mattie Burris (Misenheimer, N.C.) manage seven kills, as the Falcons ended their season in the USA South Tournament.  Burris also came away with six block assists.

Another Falcon senior, Kira Suttles (Morganton, N.C.), had a team-high 13 assists in the loss, with freshman libero Gabby Edwards (Catawba, N.C.) had 25 digs.

The loss completes Pfeiffer's season, with the Falcons finishing with an overall record of 7-25.
