Falcon Lacrosse Drops Season Opener To Birmingham Southern
Misenheimer, N.C. (Feb. 17, 2022) – Visiting Birmingham Southern downed Pfeiffer University in the men's lacrosse home opener for the Falcons by a 14-7 score on Thursday afternoon at a overcast and windy Lefko Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After battling to a 2-2 tie during the first quarter, visiting Birmingham Southern scored four in each of the remaining quarters and limited the Falcons to just three goals in the second half to take the 14-7 win.
BSC held the 6-4 advantage and halftime and took over in the third quarter, holding Pfeiffer to just one goal. The Panthers distanced themselves in the fourth quarter with four more scores.

Quinn Becraft (Huntersville, N.C.) led Pfeiffer with a pair of goals on eight shot attempts. Pfeiffer received one goal each from

Birmingham Southern was led by Austin Johnson, as he scored five goals. Teammate Carter McAlpin managed four goals for the Panthers in the win.
