MIsenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 18, 2023) -- The Pfeiffer University men's soccer team shut out visiting William Peace University by a  1-0 score in a USA South match on a chilly Wednesday night at N.E. Lefko Field.

Pfeiffer improves to 6-6-1 overall and 2-3-0 in USA South action after the victory.  William Peace falls to 6-4-3 overall and 2-2 in USA South play with the loss.

How it Happened
Pfeiffer broke the scoreless tie when freshman Alex Michael scored his second goal of the season in the 25th minute, assisted by Mateo Lata. Off a corner kick, Lata delivered a ball to the center of the box and Michael was able to out-jump several WPU defenders and delivered a header past WPU goalkeeper Aiden Miller.

Pfeiffer junior goalkeeper Ali Jaafar totaled a pair of saves for the Falcons while facing four Pacers shots.
