Pfeiffer Women's Tennis Claims 8-1 Win Over Johnson & Wales

Misenheimer, N.C. (Feb. 24, 2023) – The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team had little trouble with visiting Johnson & Wales University, claiming an 8-1 nonconference win on a warm February afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

THE BASICS
After inning all three doubles matches, Pfeiffer took five of the six singles matches in the win.

Alison Sloop (Rockwell, N.C.) claimed Pfeiffer's fourth point of the match by downing JWU's Kourtney Newton in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 4 match.

Elithe Hudson (Albemarle, N.C.) would seal the match for the Falcons by winning her No. 2 singles match by a 6-2, 6-0 score over Kendall Conrad.

Megan Rekieta (No.1), Riley Isley (No. 3)and Delaney Geygan (No.5) also won their respective matches for the Falcons.

BACK ON COURT
The Falcons will take on ODAC foe Guilford College on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 26 at 1:00 p.m. in a nonconference match at the Knapp Tennis Center.
