Women's Tennis Moves to 10-0 With Road Win at Mary Baldwin
Staunton, Va. (March 18, 2023)– The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team ran their record to 10-0 and started 1-0 in USA South play with an 8-1 win over Mary Baldwin on Saturday afternoon in Staunton, Va.

THE BASICS
After winning all three double matches, Pfeiffer's
Megan Rekieta (Lubbock, Texas) clinched the match to send Pfeiffer to their tenth consecutive win after taking her No. 1 singles match by a 6-2, 6-3 final.
The Falcons'
Elithe Hudson (Albemarle, N.C.) was able to win her fourth straight match by taking out MBU's Hannah Eastridge by a 6-2, 6-2 score.
Freshman
Riley Isley (China Grove, N.C.) got back on the winning track by winning 6-2, 6-1 over Virani Bhagat at the No. 3 position.
Alison Sloop (Rockwell, N.C.) won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 to improve her singles record to 10-2 on the season. The win for Sloop marks her ninth-straight singles win of the year.
Freshman
Emily Moore (Denton, N.C.) was also impressive in her win at No. 6, taking the match by a 6-1, 6-1 score. The win for Moore is her fifth single's win in a row.
BACK ON COURT
The Falcon's will travel for their next USA South match on Tuesday, March 21 when they take on Methodist University in Fayetteville at 2:00 p.m.
