MIsenheimer, N.C, (Sept. 3, 2023) -- Pfeiffer held Ferrum scoreless and cruised to a 3-0 shutout victory over the visiting Panthers in the 2023 home opener on a hot Sunday afternoon at Lefko Field.
Pfeiffer improved to 2-0 on the season with the win.
How it Happened
After a scoreless first half, Pfeiffer grabbed a 1-0 lead when Diego Moran scored his second goal of the season in the 59th minute.
The Falcons then took took a 2-0 lead on a goal from Jahari Dozier -- his second goal of the season -- in the 70th minute, assisted by Mateo Lata.
Pfeiffer went ahead 3-0 on Asuncio Gonzalez's 71st-minute goal, also his second tally of the season.
Game Notes
Junior goalkeeper Ali Jaafar piled up two saves for the Falcons out of five total Panthers shots.
