Rocky Mount, N.C. (Sept. 30, 2023) -- The Pfeiffer University men's soccer team fell 2-1 on the road against N.C. Wesleyan in a USA South match on Saturday afternoon at Scalf Field.
Pfeiffer drops to 3-4-1 overall and 0-1 in USA South action with the defeat while NCWU improves to 3-5-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
How it Happened
After a scoreless first half, N.C. Wesleyan took the 1-0 lead when Osei Darko scored in the 67th minute, assisted by Bastien Dechamps.
The Falcons were able to tie the game on a goal from freshman Alex Michael in the 78th minute.
N.C. Wesleyan then got the eventual game-winner on Daan Post's 79th-minute goal to provide the eventual 2-1 final.
