The Falcons proceeded to tack on three points to that lead and enjoyed a 34-18 advantage heading into halftime. Pfeiffer dominated in the paint, scoring 12 of its 24 points close to the basket.

After intermission, Pfeiffer added to its advantage and owned a 47-30 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Pfeiffer took advantage of eight Salem (NC) turnovers in the quarter, scoring four points off of takeaways.

Pfeiffer kept its lead intact before going on a 9-0 run, finished off by Hairston's three, to grow the lead to 56-34 with 7:44 to go in the contest.
