Pfeiffer Women's Tennis Rolls Over Meredith, 9-0
Misenheimer, N.C. (April 10, 2024)– The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team had no trouble with visiting Meredith College, rolling to a 9-0 USA South win at the Knapp Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon.

THE BASICS
Playing in their final home match of the regular season, Pfeiffer bolted to a 3-0 lead after sweeping all three doubles matches.
In singles play, all six Falcon players earned straight-set wins, with
Haley Ingenito (No. 3) and
Kristen Colie (No. 6) each winning by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores.  Ingenito's win pushes her season record to 19-2 overall and 14-1 in dual matches. Ingenito also owns a 6-1 record in USA South play.
Sophomore
Riley Isley (No. 4) took her match by a 6-1, 6-1 score and at No. 1
Caimbree Gann dominated in winning 6-0, 6-1. Isley's win boosts her USA South mark to 5-1 overall and 10-2 in dual matches.
Junior
Megan Rekieta won her match at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-2 while
Alison Sloop won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. Rekieta's win improves her to 6-1 in USA South play and 11-3 in dual matches on the season.
The Next Match
The Falcons will return to play on Sunday, April 14 with a road nonconference match at Virginia Wesleyan University at 10:00 a.m.
