Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Falls in USA South Championship Match
Rocky Mount, N.C. (April 27, 2024)– The Pfeiffer University men's tennis fell to top-seeded N.C. Wesleyan in the USA South Tournament Championship match on Saturday by a 5-0 score.

THE BASICS
The top-seeded Bishops swept through the doubles matches and then took the No. 2 and No. 5 singles matches to secure their 15th-consecutive USA South Tournament title.
In the No. 2 match, Pfeiffer's
Mathius Dessureau dropped a 6-0, 6-1 final to Diego Segovia to make the score 4-0.
Andres Valdez-Arze would then fall at the No. 5 match to Bohdan Zhylchuk, also by a 6-0, 6-1 score, giving N.C. Wesleyan the title.

Jayden Wellman, the USA South Rookie of the Year, were named to the USA South All-Tournament Team.
With the season complete, Pfeiffer finishes with a 13-5 overall record.
