JWU Downs Pfeiffer Women, 3-0

Misenheimer, N.C. (Sept. 17, 2024) -- The Pfeiffer University women's soccer team fell to JWU (Charlotte) by a 3-0 score on Tuesday night at Lefko-Mills Field.

The setback drops Pfeiffer to 2-3 overall while JWU improves to 3-3..

How it Happened

JWU jumped ahead 1-0 on a penalty kick less that 30 seconds into the match and added another goal in the third minute to go up 2-0.  Another penalty kick goal in the 64th minute provided the 3-0 final.

Junior goalkeeper Kaylee Ollis led Pfeiffer with eight saves. The Falcons registered 11 shots in the loss, six of them on goal. Pfeiffer faced 19 JWU (Charlotte) shots, 11 of them on goal.

Game Notes

  • Ollis collected eight saves for the Falcons out of 19 total Wildcats shots.
  • Pfeiffer put six shots on goal.
