Raleigh, N.C. (Sept. 18, 2024) --The Pfeiffer University volleyball team fell to the William Peace Pacers 3-0 (15-25, 17-25, 23-25) on Wednesday on the road at Hermann Athletic Center.
The loss dropped Pfeiffer's record to 3-5 overall and 0-1 in USA South play.
Gabi Gama finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Falcons offense. got 17 digs from Gabby Edwards to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Falcons fell behind early, dropping a tough first set 25-15. Pfeiffer trailed by as many as 11 points as William Peace grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was tied up two times before the Pacers took control.
SET 2 | Pfeiffer lost the second set 25-17, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. Pfeiffer trailed by as many as 10 points as William Peace grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 in a set that was tied up just once before the Pacers took over the lead.
SET 3 | Pfeiffer was not able to win set three and was swept by William Peace. The Falcons rallied from a seven-point hole at 23-16, but William Peace hung on to win the set 25-23.
Next Match
The Falcons will travel to Salem College for two matches on Friday. The first match, which will be played at 4:00 p.m. will be a USA South match and the 6:00 p.m. tilt will be a nonconference match.
