Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Opens Season With 7-0 Win Over LaGrange

Demorest, Ga. (Sept. 20, 2024)– The Pfeiffer University men's tennis opened the 2024-25 season on Friday with a convincing 7-0 win over LaGrange College on the campus of Piedmont University in Demorest, Ga.

THE BASICS
The Falcons had no trouble in earning the doubles point by taking all three matches.  The No. 2 team of Andres Valdez-Arze and Jayden Wellman won their match by a 6-2 score, as did the No. 3 team of Goncale Oliveira and Jan Prause.  Pfeiffer also won the No. 1 match, with Mathius Dessureau and Benedikt Pfeiffer taking the 6-3 triumph.

In singles play, Pfeiffer swept all six matches, with Laurin Rauer winning at No. 6 singles 6-0, 6-0.  Bogdan Stan also took care of his No. 5 singles opponent in convincing fashion, winning 6-0, 6-1.


The Next Match
The Falcons will return to the Knapp Tennis Center in Misenheimer for a home exhibition match against Division II Anderson University. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
