Norfolk, Va -- The Pfeiffer University women's soccer team got a pair of goals from sophomore Khamani Spencer in a 4-0 road shutout victory over Regent University at Norfolk Christian High School on Saturday afternoon.
The win improves Pfeiffer's record to 2-0 overall.
How it Happened
Pfeiffer took a 1-0 lead when Spencer scored in the 22nd minute, assisted by fellow sophomore Victoria Tita.
The Falcons scored again on a goal from Maria Altamirano two minutes later in the 24th minute.
Pfeiffer made it a 3-0 advantage on Spencer's 28th-minute goal.
The Falcons would boost the lead to 4-0 with a 55th-minute goal from freshman Sabrina McNeill, the first of her collegiate career.
Game Notes
- Goalkeepers Kaylee Ollis and Dylan Frigo each totaled three saves for the Falcons in earning the combined shutout.
- The road shutout is the first for the Falcons since a 2-0 win at Methodist in the COVID spring season on April 3, 2020, which is a span of 1,618 days
- The 2-0 start for Pfeiffer is the best start since Pfeiffer started 2-0 in the 2014 season.
