NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (March 14, 2025) -- The No. 16 Pfeiffer Falcons dropped an 11-2 game to the defending NCAA Division III champions and No. 1 ranked East Texas Baptist Tigers by final score of 11-2 on Friday morning at the Cross Bay Bash hosted by Christopher Newport.
Senior Emma Bullin (6-3) started and took the loss in the circle for Pfeiffer (12-5).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 3-0, the Falcons first put runs on the board in the third inning. Pfeiffer scored twice, with one run coming across on junior Charly Cooper's single. The Falcons were unable to get any closer, as East Texas Baptist added eight runs to their tally on the way to an 11-2 final.

Senior Alyssa Broaddus went 2-for-3 with a home run and an RBI for the No. 16 Pfeiffer Falcons in a 6-2 loss to the George Fox Bruins in their second game of the day at Christopher Newport's Captains Field.
Freshman Peyton Lane (5-2) started and took the pitching loss in the for Pfeiffer (12-6).
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons were trailing 4-0 in the sixth inning when they first put runs on the board. Pfeiffer scored two runs on solo shots from Broaddus and sophomore Emily Dickerson. The Falcons were unable to get any closer, as George Fox added two runs to their tally on the way to a 6-2 final.
