LYNCHBURG, Va. (April 1, 2025) --The Pfeiffer Falcons got three hits from Joe Javier in a 13-1 loss to the second-ranked Lynchburg Hornets on Tuesday.
J.D. Basinger (0-4) started and took the loss on the mound for Pfeiffer (8-17). The right-hander went three innings, giving up one run without giving up a hit, allowing four walks and striking out three.Â
In addition to his three hits, Javier had a walk and an RBI to lead the Falcons. Hunter Huneycutt put together a noteworthy day at the dish as well, going 1-for-4 with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 5-0, the Falcons first put runs on the board in the fifth inning. Pfeiffer got an RBI single from Javier, scoring Carter Merrill from second base. The Falcons were unable to get any closer, as Lynchburg added eight runs to their tally on the way to a 13-1 final.
