Pfeiffer Women's Lacrosse Wins Season Finale at N.C. Wesleyan, 11-6

Rocky Mount, N.C. (April 19, 2025) – Visiting Pfeiffer University closed the 2025 women's lacrosse season with an 11-6 win over N.C. Wesleyan at Stallings Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first quarter on a pair of goals from sophomore Cerys Reid. NCWU would close to 2-1, but Reid got her third score of the opening stanza at 7:58 to put Pfeiffer up 3-1.

Skyla Jo Charette gave Pfeiffer a 4-1 lead at 6:27. Charette added another score with 28 seconds left in the quarter to boost Pfeiffer to a 5-2 lead after the first.

Charette opened the scoring in the second quarter to make it 6-2. Each team would score once more in the quarter to provide the 7-3 halftime tally.

In the third quarter outscored NCWU 3-2, taking the 10-5 lead into the fourth quarter.

Reagan Martinez capped the scoring for Pfeiffer at the 10:01 mark and the Falcon defense allowed just one goal the rest of the quarter to take the 11-6 win.

Inside the Box Score
Cerys Reid led the way for Pfeiffer, as she scored four goals and caused one NCWU turnover on the day. Skyla Jo Charette finished with three goals and one assist on the afternoon.

Madeline Chadbourne had a pair of goals, three ground balls and a pair of draw controls while Victoria Howard and Reagan Martinez each had a goal.

Pfeiffer completes the season with a 2-11 overall record and a 1-8 mark in USA South play.
