Shaw Downs Pfeiffer Women's Soccer
MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Sept. 12, 2025) — Pfeiffer University struggled to find its footing in a non-conference women's soccer matchup Thursday afternoon, falling 6-0 to Division II Shaw University at Lefko-Mills Field.
Shaw (2-1-1) broke open a close first half with a five-goal outburst in the second, led by
Abigail Harrison, who scored once and assisted on another.

Joseline Becerra,
Julissa Martinez,
Annika Huder, and
Johanna Lillja each added goals for the Bears, who outshot Pfeiffer 24-3 and held a 15-1 edge in shots on goal.
Pfeiffer (0-3-0) received a strong effort in goal from
Kaylee Ollis, who made six saves before being relieved by
Dylan Frigo, who added three stops.
Lily Bido recorded the Falcons' lone shot on goal in the first half.
The Falcons managed just two corner kicks and were flagged for six fouls, while Shaw controlled possession and tempo throughout the match.
The Falcons will return to play on Wednesday, Sept. 17 with a road nonconference match at Johnson & Wales University. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
