MISENHEIMER, N.C. (February 21, 2026) — Will Rubley scored nine goals and No. 15 Lynchburg overwhelmed Pfeiffer 24-7 on Saturday afternoon at Lefko-Mills Field
Lynchburg (3–0) dominated from the opening whistle, jumping out to a 5–0 lead in the first quarter while holding Pfeiffer without a goal until the final 17 seconds of the first half. Rubley scored four times in the opening period and added five more across the second and third quarters. Teammate Matej Roth added a hat trick, and Riley Hastings scored twice, helping the Hornets pour in 14 goals before halftime.
The Hornets outshot Pfeiffer 62–32 and converted both of their extra-man opportunities. Lynchburg also won 18 of 31 faceoffs, repeatedly generating short-field chances throughout the first half.
Lynchburg goalkeeper Eric Allen made eight saves in 40 minutes, while Baden Garwood added five stops in relief. The Hornets' defense forced 19 turnovers and held the Falcons scoreless on their first 29 shots.
Pfeiffer (3–3) was led by
Gabriel Barker, who scored two goals — including a man-up tally in the fourth quarter — and added an assist.
Ethan Miles also contributed a goal and two assists, and
Dylan Sullivan scored once. Falcons goalkeeper
Korbin Hamilton finished with 13 saves before being relieved in the second half.
Lynchburg continued to control play in the second half, adding 10 more goals after the break while surrendering only five. The Hornets cleared a perfect 23-for-23 and picked up 45 ground balls compared to Pfeiffer's 30.
