Falcon Track & Field Tunes Up for USA South Indoor Championships
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Feb. 21, 2026) -
Jordan Jones delivered a standout performance to pace Pfeiffer at the ASICS Last Chance Invitational at the JDL Fast Track on Saturday, breaking one school record and tying another while earning two top-six finishes.
Jones ran 6.89 seconds in the 60 meters to place third overall and set a new school record. He later tied the program mark in the 200 meters, clocking 21.85 to take sixth in the event.
The meet also featured four additions to the program's all-time top-10 lists. Fabian Candela Godinez recorded the No. 3 time in school history in the 800 meters with a 1:58.82 finish. On the women's side,
Makayla Borst moved up to No. 3 all-time in the mile after running 5:27.35.
In the 3,000 meters,
Ezequiel Cannas posted a time of 9:16.39, good for No. 7 in school history, while teammate
Landon Cromer ran 9:20.04 to claim the No. 10 spot.
Several athletes also set personal bests at the meet, including
Parker Crowl in the 3,000 meters,
Kohen Johnson and
Robert Owens in the 800 meters,
Sam Head and
Chris Allen in the mile, and
Austin Drewery in the 3,000 meters.
Pfeiffer will turn their focus on the USA South Indoor Championships, which will be held at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Friday, Feb. 27.
