Pfeiffer Men Gets 7-0 Sweep Over Messiah
HILTON HEAD, S.C. (March 10, 2026) — Pfeiffer cruised to a 7–0 win over Messiah on Tuesday afternoon at Chaplin Park, sweeping all three doubles courts and all six singles positions.
Pfeiffer claimed the doubles point with three decisive victories. At No. 1 doubles,
Jayden Wellman and
Valter Albuquerque rolled to a 6–3 win, while
Aden Burgoyne and
Hugo Kezen earned a 6–1 result at No. 2. On court 3,
Aissultan Mukhambetov and
Bogdan Stan completed the sweep with a 6–0 win.
The Falcons carried that momentum into singles, where they did not drop a set. Albuquerque opened with a 6–2, 6–0 win over Brady Hahn at No. 1. Mukhambetov followed suit on court 2, defeating Lance Wilson 6–1, 6–1. Wellman added a straight-sets victory at No. 3, topping Elijah Noll 6–0, 6–1.
Stan secured another point with a 6–4, 6–1 win over Timothy Sheaffer at No. 4. Kezen dominated at No. 5, winning 6–0, 6–0 against Lule Risser, and Burgoyne capped the sweep for Pfeiffer with a 6–3, 6–2 victory over Xane Whitesel at No. 6.
Messiah dropped to 1–4 with the loss, while Pfeiffer improved to 8-1 on the season.
Pfeiffer will return to play on Wednesday, March 11 with a match against Lake Forest at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Resort.
