Box Score 2 Pfeiffer rolls past Penn State Scranton, Lycoming in dominant doubleheader
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Pfeiffer erupted for 27 runs in a five-inning rout of Penn State Scranton and followed it with a steady 8–0 shutout of Lycoming on Tuesday, sweeping its day at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex.
Pfeiffer 27, Penn State Scranton 0 (5 inn.)
Pfeiffer (now 11–4 across all contests on the day's reports) exploded for 10 runs in the first inning and never slowed, pounding out 13 hits while drawing 13 walks in a 27–0 victory. The Falcons capitalized on seven hit batters and four Scranton errors.
Micah Felts,
Hailey Griffin, and
Calissa Clendenin led a balanced offensive attack, combining for six hits and seven RBIs.
Anna Jordan added an inside-the-park home run, while
Landry Stewart and
Heather Vaughn each reached base multiple times and scored twice. Pfeiffer stole five bases, including two from Stewart.
A carousel of Falcon pitchers—

Ky Perdue and
Reese Caranna—combined on a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts. Caranna earned credit for the win.
Penn State Scranton mustered only two singles and struck out eight times.

In the second game, pitcher
Mollie Bulla was dominant, tossing a four-hit shutout with two strikeouts and no walks over six innings. She also starred at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.
Pfeiffer broke through with a run in the second, then added two in the third and three more in the fifth.
E.A. Nance delivered an RBI single in the third, and
Brooke Piper singled home a run in the fifth. Errors by Lycoming's left fielder contributed to two unearned runs.
Ky Perdue finished 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run, while
Emily Dickerson added two hits. The Falcons totaled 12 hits and stole three bases.
Lycoming managed four singles, including two from Claire Alexander and Ashley Forrest. The Warriors left four runners on base.
