Pfeiffer Women's Tennis Tops Messiah 5-2 in Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD, S.C. (March 10, 2026) — Pfeiffer won five of six singles matches to secure a 5-2 women's tennis victory over Messiah on Tuesday afternoon at Chaplin Park, staying unbeaten on the season.

Messiah claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 lines, but Pfeiffer answered emphatically in singles. Haley Ingenito delivered a tight win at No. 1, edging Kiara Bomboy 7–5, 6–0.

Sydney Cohen outlasted Susan Arp in the lone three-setter of the match, taking a 6–4, 3–6, 1–0 (10–8) decision at No. 3.

Riley Isley rolled to a straight-sets win over Kylie Walker (6–2, 6–1) at No. 4, and Gracie Spangler followed with another efficient performance at No. 5, defeating Bella Heckman 6–2, 6–1. Pfeiffer clinched the dual when Claire Germain closed out a 6–4, 6–4 victory over Katelyn Good at No. 6.

Messiah's lone singles point came at No. 2, where Taryn Zerby defeated Fanny Apostolou 6–1, 6–1. In doubles, Messiah posted a 6–4 win by Bomboy and Walker at No. 1 and a 7–6 (10–8) win from Arp and Zerby at No. 2, while Pfeiffer's Kristen Colie and Spangler answered with a 6–4 victory at No. 3.

The Falcons' win moves them to 9–0, continuing a dominant early-season stretch built on depth and consistency throughout the singles lineup.

Pfeiffer will continue play in Hilton Head on Friday, March 13 with a 1:00 p.m. match against Gordon College at Chaplin Park.
