Men's Lacrosse Rolls Over Huntingdon in USA South Opener

MISENHEIMER, N.C. — Pfeiffer erupted for seven goals in the opening quarter and never let up, rolling past Huntingdon 26–8 on Saturday afternoon in USA South men's lacrosse action at Lefko Mills Field.

Dylan Sullivan led the Falcons (5–2, 1–0 USA South) with five goals and three assists, spearheading an offense that poured in 54 shots and scored at least four times in every quarter. Davis Palombo added five goals and an assist, while Ethan Miles delivered a well-rounded performance with three goals, four assists and a team-high five ground balls.

Pfeiffer dominated possession throughout, winning 25 of 36 faceoffs and collecting 46 ground balls, which fueled long stretches of offensive pressure. The Falcons also converted 3 of their 4 man-up opportunities, including two in the fourth quarter that helped close out the rout.

Jaxon McMonigle scored a hat trick to pace Huntingdon (3–5, 0–1), and Kelcey Marston added two goals including a pair of man-up tallies. But the Hawks struggled to keep pace after falling behind 7–2 in the first quarter, committing 20 turnovers against Pfeiffer's ride and clearing at just 17-for-22.

Falcons goalkeeper Robert Hanlon earned the win, making nine saves in 50 minutes before a series of late fourth-quarter substitutions. Huntingdon used three goalkeepers, with Ethan Schellenberger and Nathan Brezovec combining for 10 saves.

Pfeiffer led 11–3 at halftime, 16–6 after three quarters and outscored the Hawks 10–2 in the final period to seal its conference-opening victory

With the win, Pfeiffer extends their USA South regular-season unbeaten streak to 19 straight games which dates back to the 2023 season.  Pfeiffer also has won their last 25 games against USA South opponents, also dating back to the 2023 season.

The Falcons will return to league play on Friday, March 13 with a road trip to Southern Virginia.  Start time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Knights Stadium in Buena Vista, Va.
