The Old North State Club serves as a home course for the Pfeiffer men's and women's golf programs.
In 1991, Tom Fazio ventured into the piedmont of North Carolina and created a masterpiece along a 2 1/2 mile peninsula in Badin Lake. The piece of land now known as Uwharrie Point was soon developed, succeeded in 1991 by the golf course bearing the historic name for North Carolina "Old North State." The course quickly attained reputation with golfers from across the nation, and in its opening year, was awarded the #2 ranking in Golf Digest's "Best New Private Courses in America." It's currently ranked 3rd in the state for private courses.
It has also played host to both the ACC men's and women's championships in recent years.
Fazio's elegant masterpiece is a Par-72 and plays at 7,102 yards.
