Moana Reid was named the Assistant Volleyball Coach for Pfeiffer on July 5, 2023.
She previously held a position as the assistant volleyball coach at Clinton College during their inaugural season. Before her time at Clinton, she served as a volunteer assistant for her alma matter Johnson & Wales - Charlotte. This followed an impressive playing career.
As a player, Moana was a two-time All-American, All- tournament team, lead the nation in assists, and assists per match. She was also named the Female Athlete of the Year for Johnson & Wales Charlotte in 2020. In three years as a player, Moana's dedication and relentless work ethic resulted in earning the school's record for assists, she also remains in the top three of career digs.
Her other contributions to the sport of volleyball include her work as a Coach and Program Manager at Queen City Volleyball Academy, with a mission to expand access to the game of volleyball in the Charlotte area.
She graduated from Johnson & Wales - Charlotte with a Bachelor's degree in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management. She currently lives in Charlotte with her sister who is a member of the Johnson C. Smith volleyball team.
Coach Reid is extremely excited to be joining the Falcon team and looks forward to contributing to the University's success.
