Pfeiffer University

Thomas Welton is entering his second season as an assistant coach with the Pfeiffer University baseball program. A Raleigh, NC native, Welton previously pitched for the Falcons before shoulder injuries brought his playing career to an early conclusion.

Welton returns to the diamond with a primary focus on the development of Pfeiffer’s pitching staff. He oversees pitcher development, throwing programs, arm care, and bullpen management, while also playing a key role in recruiting and overall player development. His coaching experience includes time with USA Baseball, the Dodgers Scout Team, and the Uwharrie Wampus Cats.

Welton graduated in 2025 with a degree in sport management and is currently pursuing an MBA in sport administration.
