How it Happened
Game 1
Pfeiffer's John Owen pitched 6.1 inning and struck out seven batters to improve to 2-5 on the season.  Owen was aided by and RBI single from Austin Morton in the third inning that put the Falcons up 1-0.  A Zach Ferrell double later in the inning drove in two more runs, pushing the Falcons to the 3-0 lead.

SVU responded with an RBI triple to trim the lead to 3-2 in the home half of the third.

The Falcons then pushed two more runs across in the fourth inning on a Josh Turner RBI double following by an RBI single from Landon Evans, making it 5-2.

A Carter Merrill RBI single in the fifth then staked Pfeiffer to the 6-2 lead.

SVU would get a run back in the seventh on a Pfeiffer error, but that would be the closest they would get, as Falcon reliever Adam Bridgeman closed the game in the seventh to earn his first save of the year.

Game 2
In the second game, SVU scored seven runs in the second inning and held off the Falcons in taking the 9-7 win.  Josh Turner and Jackson Leck each went 2-of-3 in game two win an RBI apiece while Alec Bell was 1-of-5 with a triple and an RBI in the loss.

Up Next
