Pfeiffer Men's Soccer Rolls Over Southern Virginia, 3-0
MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Oct. 25, 2025) — The Pfeiffer University men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to 15 matches with a 3-0 USA South shutout victory over Southern Virginia on a seasonably cool Saturday afternoon at Lefko-Mills Field.
The Falcons (12-0-3, 4-0-2 USA South) struck early when
Jacob Rocha netted his first goal of the season in the 15th minute, giving Pfeiffer a 1-0 lead. The home side added to its tally in the 62nd minute as
Aiden Dualan scored his first career goal off an assist from
Josh Aguirre-Escobar.
Wesley Hooker sealed the win with his ninth goal of the season in the 87th minute, assisted by
Jonathan Hansen to provide the eventual 3-0 final.
Goalkeeper
Tommaso Cantini recorded four saves to earn his third shutout of the season, anchoring a defense that limited the Knights (4-10-2, 1-4-1 USA South) to just five shots on goal despite 13 total attempts.
The Falcons will return to play on Wednesday, Oct. 29 in the regular-season finale with a 7:00 p.m. match against Brevard at Lefko-Mills Field.
A Pfeiffer win would clinch the first USA South Championship in program history and the first title in Pfeiffer's Division III era.
