Hampden-Sydney Rallies Past Pfeiffer for 84-71 Win

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. (Nov. 23, 2025) — No. 17 Hampden-Sydney used a dominant second half to pull away from Pfeiffer, earning an 84-71 nonconference men's basketball victory on Sunday afternoon at S. Douglas Fleet Gymnasium.

The Tigers (4-1) trailed 42-36 at halftime but outscored the Falcons 48-29 after the break, fueled by a 16-of-18 performance at the free-throw line in the second half. Santana Lynch led Hampden-Sydney with 19 points and six rebounds, while Tugg Bizzelle added 15 points and four assists. Colin Radcliffe chipped in 12 points off the bench, and Alex Cannon controlled the paint with 11 rebounds and three blocks.

Pfeiffer (4-2) came out hot, hitting seven 3-pointers in the first half and building a six-point lead at the break. Clayton Robinson paced the Falcons with 17 points, including three 3-pointers, and Sean Sucarichi scored 10. Pfeiffer's bench contributed 32 points, but foul trouble and 14 turnovers proved costly as Hampden-Sydney dominated inside, finishing with a 48-26 edge in points in the paint.
The Tigers shot 51.9% from the field and held Pfeiffer to 38.9% after halftime. Hampden-Sydney also owned the glass, outrebounding Pfeiffer 39-29.

The Falcons will travel to ODAC foe Guilford College on Tuesday, Nov. 25 for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Quakers at Ragan-Brown Fieldhouse
