No. 17 Mary Washington Downs Pfeiffer Men's Tennis, 6-0

Fredericksburg, Va. (April 5, 2025)– Visiting Pfeiffer University dropped a nonconference men's tennis match at 17^th-ranked Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon at the Hegmann Family Courts on the UWM campus

THE BASICS
Mary Washington earned the doubles point by sweeping all the contested matches.  Pfeiffer's Jayden Wellman and Aissultan Mukhambetov had a competitive outing in their No. 2 match, falling by a 7-5 final.

UMW also took the five completed singles matches.  The No. 2 match with Pfeiffer's Mathius Dessureau was unfinished.

Justin Geisbrecht was a bright spot for the Falcons at No. 6, as he fell in a close match by a 1-6, 6-4, 0-1 (10-5) final.

All other matches were won by UMW in straight sets.

The Falcons will square off in another nonconference match on Sunday, April 6 at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va. at 1:00 p.m.
