Barrett Owens and sophomore
Wesley Hooker each scored second-half goals to lift Pfeiffer University to a 2-0 victory over visiting Randolph College on Wednesday night at Lefko-Mills Field.
Owens broke the scoreless deadlock in the 54th minute, finishing off a pass from
Alex Michael to notch his first career goal. Hooker added an insurance in the 87th minute, tallying his fourth goal of the year to seal the win for the Falcons.
Pfeiffer (5-0) dominated possession and outshot Randolph 16-6, including an 8-1 edge in shots on goal. Hooker led all players with six shots, four of which were on target.

Seth Limbert recorded one save to earn the shutout, his second clean sheet of the season. Pfeiffer's defense held firm throughout, allowing just two corner kicks in the second half and keeping Randolph (2-3-2) off the scoreboard.
Randolph keeper Dominic Cortes made six saves in the loss, including four in the second half.
Pfeiffer returns to play on Saturday, Sept. 20 when they host Carolina Christian College at 3:00 p.m. in the annual homecoming match.
