MISENHEIMER, N.C. — Dylan Sullivan scored nine goals and added an assist as Pfeiffer rolled past Oglethorpe 31–8 on Saturday afternoon at Lefko-Mills Field. The Falcons exploded for 11 goals in the first quarter and never looked back, improving to 2-1 on the season.
Ethan Miles posted a standout performance with three goals and six assists, teaming with Sullivan and attackman
Tiger Hopkins—who finished with a goal and six assists—to fuel a Pfeiffer offense that outshot the Stormy Petrels 62–30 and put 40 shots on goal.
Davis Palombo added three goals and three assists, and
Will Rivera chipped in four goals.
Pfeiffer built an 11–1 lead after the opening period, highlighted by five first-quarter goals from Sullivan. The Falcons continued to pour it on with a six-goal second quarter and a 10-goal third, pushing the margin to 27–5 entering the final frame.
Oglethorpe (0–2) was led by Gannon Johnson and Noah Stroud, who each scored twice. Aniedo Udoh added two goals as well. The Stormy Petrels struggled with turnovers, committing 31, and went just 1-for-5 on extra-man opportunities.
Pfeiffer dominated possession on the ground, winning 68 ground balls to Oglethorpe's 32 and taking 23 of 40 faceoffs. The Falcons also converted 4 of 6 man-up chances.
The Falcons used multiple goalies in the blowout win. Starter
Robert Hanlon made two saves while allowing one goal in just over 20 minutes of work.

The 31 goals scored is the third-most goals scored in a single game in program history. It surpasses the 29 goals Pfeiffer scored in 2025 against LaGrange and in 1997 against Lees-McRae.
The 68 ground balls ties for the second-best single-game mark in program history. Pfeiffer also had 68 ground balls against William Peace in 2025.
The 54 total points is the second-best single game output in program history. Previously, the No. 2 mark was 53 points vs. Marymount in 1992.
