Softball Wins Over Gettysburg and #14 Huntingdon

COLUMBUS, Ga. (March 7, 2026) — Pfeiffer capped a dominant Saturday with a pair of wins at the NFCA Fastpitch Classic at the South Commons Complex, rallying past Gettysburg 5-3 before riding a Mollie Bulla shutout to down No. 14 Huntingdon, 1-0.

Pfeiffer 5, Gettysburg 3

Freshman E.A. Nance drove in three runs, including a walkoff two-run blast in the seventh, as Pfeiffer erased an early 3-0 deficit to defeat Gettysburg, 5-3

Pfeiffer tied the game with a two-run fifth inning. Heather Vaughn singled and stole two bases before scoring on a sacrifice fly from Mollie Bulla. Moments later, Landry Stewart—who recorded five stolen bases in the game—came home on Camryn Kaminski's RBI single to tie the game at 3-3

In the seventh, Stewart sparked the winning rally with a bunt single and two more steals. Nance followed with a two-run homer to left for the walk off winner. Nance finished 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBIs.

Bulla earned the win in relief, throwing 1.1 scoreless innings with one strikeout. Reese Caranna allowed just one earned run over 5.2 innings in a strong long-relief outing.

Gettysburg scored twice in the second and once in the first, aided by an error and a wild pitch, but was held scoreless over the final five innings. Audrey Bergan led the Bullets with two hits.

Bulla was even better in the nightcap, tossing a seven-hit shutout with four strikeouts to lead Pfeiffer to the 1-0 win over the 14th-ranked Hawks.

The lone run of the game came in the second when Bulla helped her own cause with a solo home run to left center on a 3-1 pitch. It was her second hit of the contest and proved to be the difference. She finished 2-for-3 with the game-winning RBI.

Huntingdon (11–2) threatened in the fourth, loading the bases with two outs, but Bulla struck out Maddie Grace Hubbard to end the inning. She went on to retire the final seven batters she faced, locking down her third win of the season.

Ky Perdue added a hit and five defensive putouts at shortstop, while Nance contributed a single and five more putouts behind the plate. Pfeiffer committed just one error and stranded only three runners.

The Falcons will wrap up play in the NFCA Classic on Sunday, March 8 with a 9:00 a.m. game against Pacific Lutheran followed by am 11:00 a.m. game with Pomona-Pitzer.
