Pfeiffer Wraps Up NFCA Classic With Wins Over Pacific Lutheran and Pomona-Pitzer

COLUMBUS, Ga. (March 8, 2026) — Pfeiffer picked up a pair of wins Sunday on the final day of the NFCA Classic at the South Commons Complex, edging Pacific Lutheran 3-2 before rolling past Pomona-Pitzer 7-2.  With the two wins, Pfeiffer finished the elite event with a 5-1 overall record and improves to 8-4 overall/

Pfeiffer used timely hitting and aggressive baserunning to outlast Pacific Lutheran in the first game of the day.

Ky Perdue led the Falcons, going 3-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs, including a steal of home in the third inning. Heather Vaughn added two hits and an RBI, and Brooke Piper doubled as part of a 2-for-3 performance..xml)

Pfeiffer scored single runs in the second, third and fifth innings, highlighted by Kylah Shifflett's RBI double in the second and Vaughn's RBI single in the fifth. Pacific Lutheran rallied for two runs in the sixth on a two-run single by Lex Ahlo-Garcia but left the tying run aboard.

Freshman Abigail Bowman earned the win in relief, allowing two runs over four innings, while Mollie Bulla closed the door with two scoreless innings for the save.

Pfeiffer 7, Pomona-Pitzer 2

After falling behind 2-0 in the first inning, Pfeiffer responded with seven unanswered runs, scoring in each of the final six frames.

Natalie Auman went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI, and Landry Stewart added two hits, two runs, an RBI and two stolen bases as part of Pfeiffer's six-steal effort. Mollie Bulla continued her strong day with three hits and two RBI, including an RBI double in the third.

Perdue contributed two hits, two runs and two RBI, including a run-scoring single in the seventh. Pfeiffer broke the game open late with a two-run seventh featuring RBI singles from Perdue and Stewart.

Abigail Bowman was again dominant in relief, tossing five hitless innings with four strikeouts to secure the win.

The Falcons will hit the road once again, this time heading to North Myrtle Beach, S.C.to take part in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic on March 10-11.  Pfeiffer will open play against Penn State Scranton at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10 and will then take on Lycoming at 3:00 p.m.
