Box Score Pfeiffer Men Settle for 2-2 Draw With Johnson & Wales
Pineville, N.C. (Sept 7, 2022) – Despite falling down 2-0, the Pfeiffer University men's soccer team scored a pair of second half goals to salvage a 2-2 tie on the road at Johnson & Wales University on Wednesday night in Pineville, N.C.

How It Happened
After a scoreless first half, JWU opened the scoring in the 63
rd minute on a score from Tighe Torgesen on an assist from Diaje' Hart. The Wildcat lead would go to 2-0 when Billy Esparza-Diaz scored just 38 seconds later on an unassisted goal.
Pfeiffer junior
Sam Stewart (Belhaven, N.C.) scored his eight career goal and his third of the season in the 67
th minute to draw Pfeiffer to 2-1.
A little over 10 minutes later,
Nick Ruscetti (Wilmington, N.C.) notched his first career goal to tie the match at 2-2.
The Falcons had one last chance to tally the game-winner in the waning minutes, but Stewart's corner kick produced no shot on goal, with Pfeiffer settling for their second draw of the season.
