Pfeiffer University

Dave Davis served as the Falcons head basketball and head golf coach from 1996-2010. During that span, Pfeiffer’s basketball teams compiled a 284-124 record and won six conference titles and made three NCAA Division II Tournament appearances.  Under his guidance, Pfeiffer advanced to the Sweet 16 along with an Elite 8 appearance in 2004. In a seven-year span starting in the 1996-97 season, Davis’ teams posted an impressive 161-51 record.

Davis earned three conference coach of the year awards and was also tabbed as the NCAA Division II East Region Coach of the Year in 2004.

In addition to coaching in Misenheimer, he has coached at Warren Wilson, Barton and most recently at Newberry College.  Collectively, he has a career coaching record of 486-312 in a career that spans 28 years.

He currently is an assistant coach at Winthrop University in Rock HIll, S.C.
